The Clinic established a dedicated Drug and Device Research Department in 1991. The research department and its important work are indicative of our commitment to improving the health and well-being of the citizens of southwest Louisiana. Our 30+ physician partners are involved in the following therapeutic areas: Internal Medicine, Family Practice, Cardiology, Neurology, Pulmonology/Critical Care, Hemotology/Oncology, Gastroenterology, Otorhinolaryngology, Facial Plastics, General Surgery, Bariatric Surgery, Vascular Surgery, and Orthopedic Surgery. A majority has served as sub-investigators and as Principal Investigators in various studies. They have research experience varying from 1 to 14 years in Phase I IV studies with both drugs and devices. Coupled with our Research Team, they have completed research in all of the previously noted therapeutic areas. |
